Akon – Why are people buying this crap?

Does this guy have any talent...what is with the synthesized voice?
I do not like Akon. I wonder if he really has any musical talent. I know that he is definitely trying to uphold some sort of gangster image…I have read on the internet that he has assaulted some fans or at least one fan by throwing them off the stage and into the audience. (I think Akon had something thrown at him so he retaliated by throwing the fan off stage…what a tough guy!) I don’t even think the person he threw off the stage was an adult…but I am not too sure and I am not going to spend too much time on this fool.
If a guy has shitty lyrics (in my opinion), a heavily synthesized voice in all his songs (can he actually sing or does he lip sync at concerts?), and disrespects his fans (by allegedly assaulting them)…why does the public buy his records. Would you not want to spend your money on someone with a shred of talent? In addition…here you have Akon…with questionable talent, brainless lyrics, a ridiculous image and he does not even seem grateful that he is getting money through his act.
We are in a North American recession….save your money…do not support this artist…be anti-Akon.
Kardinal Offishall…why would you hook up with this artist? It must have been for the money. You used to be a progressive person on the hip hop scene…and now…you sell your integrity to be on a track with Akon. My goodness man!
