Tanning Beds Are Deadly…Who would have thought?!?

It looks like “tanning salons” are going to be a relic of the past. Anyone who would continue to use these things after some of the latest health warnings would have to be pretty stupid. Who would have thought that blasting yourself in a coffin of ultraviolet light would be bad for you? Here is the video clip from the Associated Press…

Ultraviolet light is why metal welders wear long sleeve shirts, heavy leather gloves and welding hoods with ’special’ lenses to protect them selfs from ultraviolet lights damaging effects.
We welders have never understood why anyone would willingly summit their naked body to this kind of dangerous ultraviolet light.
