Robert McNamara Dead at 93 – JFK / LJ’s Secretary of Defense

One of my most favorite personalities who took on the Secretary of Defense position has passed away today…McNamara died at 5:30a.m. at his home this morning.  There are a lot of interviews you can enjoy with McNamara as he reflects on his past important positions…including a young man who used statistics to overcome productivity issues at Ford Motor Co. and the president of the “questionable” World Bank…from 1968 – 1981…what a career…

Murder Witness has Squirrel in her Shirt!?! – WTF

I don’t know how I missed this story….A woman goes into a police interview regarding a recent murder and during the interview a squirrel pops out of her shirt.  As funny as this may seem…it really does stir up some credibility issues if this woman is needed at the trial.  The defense attorneys would most likely have a field day with this witness…fortunately they are saying she will not be needed at the trial.

Jian Ghomeshi sticks it to Billy Bob Thornton on CBC Radio

   

Ah…”Q” on CBC radio. 

I like Jian Ghomeshi…he seems to be a good host…easy to listen to most of the time…and usually super polite.  I was listening to the interview Jian did with Billy Bob Thornton and some band this morning.  I think the band is called “The Boxmasters”…who the fuck cares anyways…

Billy Bob got pissed off because Jian mentioned the obvious during his show…that Billy Bob was an actor…and so Billy Bob decided to act like a cocksucker for the rest of the interview.  Jian asked Billy Bob the usual questions that he asks any musician (legitimate or not)… “How long have you been playing together?” and the typical “Where do you get your musical interests?”…Billy Bob asks Jian if he would ask Tom Petty those types of questions?!?  Does Billy Bob really believe he is in the same talent class as Tom Petty…I hope not.  Here is more of the interview…

WTF?  I didn’t even know Billy Bob Thornton was a musician until this morning and I didn’t care to know much about him as an actor.  Did he think he would get on the radio up here if he wasn’t Billy Bob Thornton – the actor?

Jian Ghomeshi handles the interview like a master and uncovers why Billy Bob Thornton was acting like a douche.  I guess Billy Bob told the show’s producer that he didn’t want the fact that he was also an actor mentioned…Jian didn’t know and stated the obvious during the introductions at the beginning of his show.  Good job for making Billy Bob Thornton look like an idiot this morning Jian…
