Man Arrested for Trying to Hire a Prostitute for his Underage Son…

I never really thought that fathers actually did this.  A Reuters article stated that in London (England)…a man who tried to hire a prostitute for his 14-year-old son was in court on Friday.  The man took his son for a ride in the red-light district of Nottingham and told him he could choose the hooker of his choice.  The kid picked the prostitute that was an undercover police officer.

The “father” was handed a 10-month prison sentence after he “admitted a charge of trying to solicit a woman to have sex with a child.”  Judge Jonathan Teare stated the following about the case, “You have a duty of care to your son and that is to look after his moral welfare, not as you might think to break him in to the ways of sex through a prostitute”.

This kid must be super-pissed that he did not get his birthday present…it sounds like father and son still had a “bonding moment” though…

I was just reading the morning news cycle and found this story from Reuters.  It is always sad when someone takes their own life…but this is not what I am here to discuss…  Stories like these tend to make me believe that when top-executives for major companies in financial trouble start killing themselves…they are either covering up some illegal activity or they would rather die than expose the “shady work” of other corrupt individuals…

This is another news story that leaves me speechless…a Reuters story about a magic goat that steals cars in Nigeria.  Read it for yourself…I will link the article.

Goat detained over armed robbery

Vigilantes took the black and white beast to the police saying it was an armed robber who had used black magic to transform himself into a goat to escape arrest after trying to steal a Mazda 323.

The group of vigilante men came to report that while they were on patrol they saw some hoodlums attempting to rob a car. They pursued them. However one of them escaped while the other turned into a goat,” Kwara state police spokesman Tunde Mohammed told Reuters by telephone.

“We cannot confirm the story, but the goat is in our custody. We cannot base our information on something mystical. It is something that has to be proved scientifically, that a human being turned into a goat,” he said.

Belief in witchcraft is widespread in parts of Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation. Residents came to the police station to see the goat, photographed in one national newspaper on its knees next to a pile of straw.
